We have an exciting new role for a full-time Paintshop Manager. Primarily based in our workshop in London, this is a full-time position that offers an opportunity to develop the skills required to move into the events world. We are based in Wimbledon but design, build and install corporate and private events worldwide.
This role will work closely with the team of designers, production managers and workshop manager to aid the transition from concept through to build, and that ultimately delight our clients.
Your experience and ability to multi-task with a high level of organisation and attention to detail will enable you to cover the following.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be providing support to the production, operations and workshop teams by assisting with any part of the job for the installation of an event entails for our mix of private and corporate clients. You will also be assisting the wider team on an ad-hoc basis.
Your experience and ability to multi-task with a high level of organisation and attention to detail will enable you to cover the following:
Highly knowledgeable working with paints including solvent and water based
Highly skilled in prep work for all materials including hardwood, softwood, plastics, and metal
Highly skilled in spraying and roller painting for all materials
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on workshop tools and equipment, including stray machine, sanders and LEV systems when needed
Work closely with production managers, operations, technical and construction teams to plan, execute, and complete projects on time, ensuring alignment with production schedules
Go on site when needed to help with install and represent Firecracker Works
Prepare all samples ready for clients based on the information production managers inform you with
Manage all paint kits for site and confirm with the Production managers all paint needs are met
Work with senior management to ensure that the paint department is running at its best and implement improvements once approved
Able to read technical documents

Computer literate and experience with Microsoft packages/Google Apps is helpful

A logical approach to administration and warehouse work with high attention to detail
Business hours & Travel:
Business hours are 07:00 to 16:30 Monday - Friday. Extended business hours and weekends may be required.
