We have an exciting new role for a full-time Workshop Operative. Primarily based in our offices in the heart of Wimbledon, this is a full-time position that offers an opportunity to develop the skills required to move into the events world. We are based in SW19 but design, build and install corporate and private events worldwide.
Initially reporting to the Workshop Manager this role will provide support to the construction teams. This role will work closely with the team of designers, production managers and workshop manager to aid the transition from concept through to build, and that ultimately delight our clients.
Your experience and ability to multi-task with a high level of organisation and attention to detail will enable you to cover the following.
Role and Responsibilities:
● Help organise the workshop including keeping tidy and clear for all work to progress.
● General Admin including physical and digital management of our files and folders
● Work with the production co-ordinators and workshop manager to donate and repurpose all unwanted build pieces post event, avoiding items going into waste.
● Coordinate with the internal warehouse and production team to achieve operational objectives.
● Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
● Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
● Follow health and safety protocols in the warehouse.
● Collaborate with other departments to streamline warehouse processes.
● Utilise warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory.
● Drive our vans for collections and deliveries
● Work with Construction manager and workshop manager with general warehouse maintenance.
● Work with Workshop manager to manage external crew when
Needed.
● On occasion work unsociable hours including driving
● Collecting and delivering our product and supplies with care and abiding by the rules of the road.
● Carry out checks of all vehicles and equipment within our workshop
● Take training when needed to say above HSE requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of essential Skills and Experience:

● Approachable, flexible, calm under pressure and decisive
● Must have a valid and clean driving licence
● Advantage forklift licence but not necessary
● Excellent verbal and written English
● A good understanding of materials and their specifications
● Construction knowledge
● Ability to prioritise and adapt to an ever-changing and diverse environment and workload.
● Takes pride in their work with great attention to detail
● Excellent approach to administration and organisation
● Logical and lateral thinker with an ability to work under their own initiative
● Good communicator who is confident dealing with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors.
Business hours & Travel:
Business hours are 07:00 to 16:30 Monday - Friday. Extended business hours and weekends may be required. We hold the right to change your hours when needed for the business requirements
Some UK and travel to other site locations within Europe and further afield.
